Bringing planters to the High Street – Alloa

We are lucky in the wee county that there are so many great groups of volunteers carrying out positive work to improve community spaces. EPIC work to support these groups, either through; lending a helping hand when bigger projects need support or giving our expertise or support with tools and equipment.

Our work supporting Alloa in Bloom to bring planters for pollinators to the high street shows how we work with partner community groups to achieve big changes in both built environments and local green spaces.

With our help, Alloa in Bloom were able to secure 9 large 3-tier planters, move them around the town, fill them with compost and plant up with beautiful bedding plants. We have also been clearing out the barrels and planting them up with bulbs and summer colour. The plants were supplied by Gartinny Nurseries run by Scottish Autism.
