The Conservation Volunteers (TCV), in partnership with Enabling Projects in Clackmannanshire (EPIC), have set out to increase access to the hills and glens of the Ochils, improve the quality of rivers, and restore parts of the historic built landscape. The project will provide opportunities for community involvement and volunteering to tell the story of the area’s cultural, social and industrial heritage. It aims to enhance the lives of people in the Hillfoots and to increase visitors to the area.

Through running practical conservation groups consisting of local volunteers – Epic and TCV hope to have a lasting impact on local communities and the environment. Currently operating three volunteer groups a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The participants take part in practical conservation activities while also: enhancing their skills, improving mental and physical well-being, and reducing social isolation.
