The volunteers took part in constructing a bird hide at Auchengillan outdoor activity centre. This bird hide is part of a path building project aiming to help a disabled scout group access the outdoors and survey nature. This project allowed the volunteers to develop their skills in construction while also using power tools such as drills. The task allowed the volunteers to work with other project officers from TCV – learning from the while also sharing their volunteer experiences that they have taken part in on the EPIC project
The volunteers loved this project and took great pride in the finished hide. The skills they have learned will be carried over into their work in Clackmannanshire.
I love taking part in big projects such as this, seeing your work there at the end of the day and knowing that it will be used for years to come – it means so much to me
