EPIC Volunteers are enjoy a great relationship with Alva Glen Heritage Trust. The community group meets once per month and undertakes a number of tasks to improve the natural beauty, biodiversity and usability of the area.
We regularly undertake work including the removal of invasive Rhododendron as well as digging over a pollinator garden which has been planted by the local scout group. Following Storm Ali, the group undertook work to remove storm damaged trees from the river, ensuring the area has remained clear of potential blockages.
