Welcome to Epic’s new website!  My name is David Walsh and I am the senior project officer for this exciting venture.

We hope to bring you up-to-date information on this amazing undertaking between The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) and Enabling Projects in Clackmannshire (Epic).  We will bring you info on our projects, updates from our volunteers and cracking photos from all around this lovely county.

We run 3 groups across the week.  A Tuesday and Thursday team that runs from 9:30 – 3 and a “green gym” on Wednesdays that runs from 10-1.

We have recently completed a few amazing tasks across Clacks.  We recently built a massive boardwalk in Dollar near the river Devon.  We have planted a hedge in Tillicoultry.  The team has carried out essential access works up Menstrie and Tillicoultry glen.  They have also constructed a massive footpath near the site of the old Cowden Castle. The groups have an immense team spirit and these days out have been a blast so far.

Now that that spring has most definitely sprung they have also had the chance to take part in biodiversity surveys and heritage walks across the historic sites of the Ochils like the silver mine and the old kirkyards – Wowzers!

We will be posting news updates and blogs as regularly as possible to keep you guys in the know with what we are doing.  So, if you would like to volunteer or your organisation/community group/school would like to partner with us on a conservation task (could be anything from building a garden or improving access around your environmental site) contact David Walsh at d.walsh@tcv.org.uk or phone 07767 112 094!

See you later!
